I want to connect my modem...on hp 15 au171tx

My laptop has no modem....but i cant afford wifi...so i need my modem connect that....hp qu171tx....please help me..

What is the make and model number of your modem?

Depending on your modem type can't you connect your modem to either the RJ-45 socket using an Ethernet cable or a USB port using a USB cable, on the laptop.

Do not understand "...I cannot afford WiFi.."Your modem needs to be connected to a internet service provider (ISP) via a phone line or a wireless connection for you to have internet service and that costs as well.
