Will not start. Engine turns over three times and stops. Checked battery with cables ,same thing ,turns over ,no start, Wife say,s before the problem it did start, but it was like it wanted to stall out before putting it in drive,''.

@havetogoagain,Robert, Fully charge the battery and if battery not holding charge replace it. Check all battery connections for loose/corrosion, There are a lot of reasons for a car not to start. Is there security light on, bad fuel. timing belt faulty, bad sensors TPS, MAP, MAF, IAC, O2, failing knock senor, faulty injectors, dirty throttle body, EGR valve, major vacuum leak, failing fuel pump, bad ignition, bad distributor/coils, plugged catalytic converter, etc.etc.. As a first step have the car scanned for trouble codes as it may identify the exact problem. If able to, some of the auto parts suppliers offer free code reading and battery/starter/alternator testing like Pepboys, Nappa, Advanced auto parts,etc and some of the guys are very knowledgeable and may have seen the issue often and put you on the right track or see if one of your buddies have one to lend. If not comfortable working on/diagnosing your car have a good local technician have a look, diagnose and estimate repair. Good luck.
