Mac is just turning on when holding the power button for about 10 secs
Hi,
I´m having some issues with my MBP mid 2012, it won't turn on unless I hold the power button for about 10 seconds.
I already tried safe mode, SMC, PRAM and nothing seems to be working. I even installed the latest OS available but nothing happened (it didn't even changed anything in the system)
I also tried factory reset and once completed absolutely nothing changed. All my programs are there and it looks like it was just off and then on.
I took the cover off and unplugged the battery but nothing happened.
I'm currently using Yosemite
Please help!!! Thanks!
Is this a good question?

Do you have a 13" or 15" Hopefully I picked the correct one here (top right)
Did you spill something into the keyboard or trackpad?

Hey Dan it's the 13" and I didn't spill anything into it. I've been really careful.

It could be that it's only starting up when the SMC is being bypassed due to a sensor issue of some sort. If you run a program such as TG Pro, are there any sensor issues that show?

@eddy7 what is the history of this
Mac? Was it previously liquid damaged? Did this happen spontaneously? Was there a previous repair attempt? Any history even old will help. I just fixed a MacBook Air that was liquid damaged 1 year and failed just now.

Hey @Sam Freeman, I ran TG Pro and I have no errors. The only thing I noticed that is too hot is probably the Memory slot? it says 80 to 81 °C not sure if it should be that way but it stays there and the rest of them are in about 30° C or less. Everything shows in green though. The average Computer is 31 °C and the CPU is 34°C.
