Why is my iPhone 6S won't turn on

I drop my phone in the toilet for a split second, after several days I soaked it in uncooked rice, it doesn't keep on for a long time, so I have someone to clean the logic board (individual store, not apple store) and it can work normally for just four days, after that I needed to turn it on by hard reset or waited until the battery drop. The store said that water damage can lead to long term damage, either I needed to change the LCD or the logic board (it really cost a lot so I don't know what should I do)

But after several weeks, my phone cannot be charged and won't turn on, I've tried some ways, the hard reset by connecting it to iTunes (press the sleep and home button for 10 second, release the sleep button but continue to press home button for another 10 second) the iTunes recognise my dead phone but it says there is an error so it can't be reset.

Is there any way to hard reset an iPhone? or are you familiar with this issue? I don't know if the problem is the logic board or maybe the LCD, but last time I checked the battery was fine.

I really needed help since I can't really trust the individual store, yet the apple store in my country doesn't have the equipment to check the damage in iPhone 6S or newest iPhone.

I will really appreciate your answers. Thank you in advance.

Ok, so you need to fact check your individual store in your home. They need ultra sonic bath. Your individual store you try before, only maybe use isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Problem still there, then you use, and electricity do more bad thing. You need to find individual store that have ultrasonic bath, and do board repair. Or you can mail. Which country you live? Maybe Europe? I hear STS in Europe do good work. I would imagine they have mail in service

when I tried to hard reset from iTunes, it says "The iPhone software update server could not be contacted. An unknown error occurred (-23)." . Can you tell me what does it mean?

Your best bet is to replace the phone. Clearly it has board damage, and it is unlikely that you'll be able to find someone with the skills to troubleshoot at component level on the board that would take the time to remove the soldered on shields, clean all corrosion (your local store almost certainly did not remove shields, which means much of the board never got cleaned), then troubleshoot by measuring various components on the board, replace chips and corroded components as necessary, and then order and install whatever parts are also compromised. This is a huge amount of open-ended repair, and people with the skills to do this would likely not take the job.

Next time, skip the rice and get that sucker opened up ASAP after water damage.

What is the error code you get when you try and restore? Fair warning when it comes to water damaged phones cleaning doesnt always fix the board. Depending on what error you get with itunes and how well the board was cleaned it entirely possible you have have one or multiple damaged components on the board that could result in you just needing to replace the device.
