Is that an iPhone 4S? That your backup phone? Good work. Mines a 3GS. Back to work! So your LCD is damaged. Yeah, you said the whole problem in the answer. But you didn't explain the how and why. Anyways, you need a replacement display assembly

I already bought that part though
You may just need to reconnect the cables the part may not be needed try that first

I also agree with Austin, I should've said that first. Check the cable connections. Half screen? I dunno, but let's try that first
That didn't fix it either I used a magnifying glass to look at main board and I see no problems
