Rotation sensor is messed up?!

Hello everyone,

I have iPhone 6S plus and it seems like the rotation gone insane.

The screen rotates to left side with no obvious reason and doesn't rotate when I want.

I also noticed that it affects the raise to wake function.

My device isn't jailbroken and to solve this issue I force restart the device. Simple reboot doesn't do it..

I thought it might be an IC issue...

anyone here can help me locate the cause of this problem and perhaps a fix?

I'm gonna go with liquid damage. Yes, I agree this is going to sound super weird and not what you wanna hear. I'm gonna guess sweat. It happens. My guess is the gyroscope has been blown. Likely a InvenSense 6-axis gyroscope and accelerometer combo. You probably have other liquid damage that is minor and can't notice it. I would recommend an ultrasonic bath, at a good repair shop. And have em replace that part. You probably could kinda do the water damage cleaning yourself. I'll post a couple guides. But I would recommend bringing it/mailing it to a good board repair shop

Luckily I'm a technician myself, fix phones everyday... can you direct me to the IC that is responsible for the gyroscope? Had troubles finding it online..

Just preordered a simple logic board disassembly and didn't see any noticeable water damage...will look under a microscope later today I hope and will preform ultrasonic bath later this week I hope
