Hi Daniel,
I'm no iPhone expert(quite the opposite, actually), but it appears the iPhone's mics are built into the frontfacing camera and headphone/charging board. iFixit sells both of these.

Jack - The Lightning Connector & Headphone jack mic is phones mic. The Front Camera & Sensor cable Mic is used for noise canceling & when you have speaker phone enabled or using FaceTime. Neither are involved with the rear facing camera mic.

I'm looking for the REAR mic which is the small black hole btwn the rear camera and the flash. I was able to locate one on eBay. Tks to all.
