Why can't I turn on my iPhone 6S?

After having water-damaged, I go to an independent store and have them clean the logic board of my iphone until it can function like usual.

It turned off by itself a several times but after I waited several hours or two days, I can turn it on again.

but now, its been 3 days and i have tried rebooting, or plug it in charge it still can't be on. I tried to connect to the iTunes, it can still connected but the iTunes said the phone is locked and I need to unlock it (the phone won't turn on)

What should I do? is this related to the phone machine? or maybe the LCD?

Well...if this shop treated your board, it's sounding a lot more likely they didn't do a good job, and even though it brought it back, because the good job wasn't done the first time, even worse things got done to it now. Try to find a shop that has an ultrasonic bath, and can check your logic board for any problems that incurred during this whole process. Hopefully the same shop is good at board level repair as well

raechalista agree with @theimedic We do not know how well they cleaned the board. You should check to see if the EMI shields were removed. If they have not been removed you know that at least 75% of the board did not get cleaned properly. You also need to find out if a new battery was installed and what else this shop did to your phone. Since we do not know any off this, any suggestion will only be a guess.

In addition to what @theimedic said, I'd like to add that either your screen failed or your display/backlight circuit on the board is damaged.

If you haven't pulled a back-up yet, turn it off, and have someone knowledgeable try to fix the display issue or pull your data.

And they should be smart and honest enough to properly evaluate the extend of damage and advise you on your next step: whether you're better off buying a new phone or if they can fix it and expect it to survive 6 months or more to make the repairs and money spent worthwhile.

Thanks, @rany. That's a really good point. With liquid damage, at least one of three things will fail. Either the display, lightning dock, or battery. Most times count on the battery to have failed

They can connect to iTunes so phone is alive for now, including battery, but not displaying anything..

by

Not if the battery and lightning dock won't work

by

@theimedic, "it can still connected but the iTunes said the phone is locked and I need to unlock it" means it is turning on but no display or no backlight.

by

@rany you're right. It's the display that's the issue. Or...fpc connector..can't get in without it...
