Any recommendations for overhauling a 2007 MacBook Pro?

I have a MacBook Pro from 2007.

I've replaced the hard drive after a crash. Considering upgrading RAM.

While I'm in there for the RAM, anything else I should modernize?

Not much you can upgrade in this series other than the Drive & RAM.

This system is limited to 4 GB of RAM and the drives SATA port is limited to SATA I (1.5 Gb/s) so you do need to be careful on what drives you go with as faster drives may not work in this system.

You'll need to review the drives specs sheet to see if SATA I speed is supported. If it's not listed it's not supported!
