How to install rear freeze plug in a tahoe

How do i reach the rear freeze plugs on a q998 tahoe v8

@spunzie , mrlost, Below is a pic. of Chevy V8, 8 engine block freeze plug locations, to access the FP on the rear of engine, the transmission/torque converter/flex plate have to be removed. Generally when going to this much trouble it may be good insurance just to pull the engine and change out all the freeze plugs, as the others may be failing as well. As @lpfaff1 said the rear expansion plugs are behind the flex plate . You dont actually have to remove the motor to change them out but you do have to separate the transmission from the motor and remove the drive plate to access the expansion plugs. Replace all the plugs on the backside of the motor as Lindon mentioned in his answer. better to not have to redo the job . also use proper plugs and drive them in with the proper tool as you can damage them if you dont install them correctly. Please don't try to use the rubber expandable plugs . You will only regret it
