My kindle books suddenly are stuck in landscape position. I have my device on rotate and there is no place when in the book to press to lock or unlock. Everything else rotates correctly and I can lock in portrait mode but through book pages will not rotate. Help!

Hi,
Launch the Kindle app and open a book.
Tap on the lower right corner of the screen. A small lock icon should appear.
Tap on the icon to enable auto rotation.
If you ever want to lock the screen in the orientation that it is in at the time, tap on the lock icon to disable auto rotation.

This works! Ty but it's tricky to get the lock to appear because the phone has other, close function keys.
I couldn't get the lock icon to appear until I switched to seeing 9 small pages at once. Samsung TabA, 2019 SM T-290
I found the icon, changed it to unlocked,, and my Kindle will still not change rotation. Ally other apps rotate.

To find the orientation lock You have to select Aa then layout turn off lock

When you swipe down from the top of the screen the auto rotate button shows up and turn that on and under the button you can click on the label for autorotate and turn on rotate for about everything the phone does and when you rotate the phone in amazon if you wait a bit after you rotate the phone the screen should too
There is no orientation lock option in the latest Kindle app on Samsung. Only the little lock that does nothing.

My Problem has nothing at all to do with the little lock in the bottom right hand corner. It doesn't matter if it's locked or unlocked that app will not rotate this book no matter what I do.. I tried turning rotate page automatically on through Android I tried turning rotate off, and nothing work. I'm trying to read Dean Koontz's "Devoted" and it is stuck in the portrait mode and it seems there is nothing I can do about it. I have always red in landscape mode on my Galaxy Samsung Kindle app and now it refuses to use landscape. It's hard to get used to reading it in portrait.
