Water damage, any particular spots I should check first?

I just ordered a iPhone 6s Plus with water damage off eBay for 70 bucks. I have never worked on a 6s before and is there any spots I should check for water damage first? It probably will not be here until either Saturday or Sunday so I won't be able to clean it until then. I also got a new battery so that won't be the problem. Is there a common place to check for shorts like the capacitor near the wifi chip on the iPhone 6? Another question: I have a board view for the 6s plus but it is not working correctly. A lot of the pins just show something like $$$827 or $$$82 or a number like that. It was in Chinese so that might be the problem but how do I fix it?

You know this as well as anyone . Get the shields off and clean it in ultrasonic bath or soak it in IP alcohol 90+% stronger is always better. Soft toothbrush works well for extra cleaning of bad spots use flux and then wash the flux off with the IP alcohol. I like to use a heat station to dry the alcohol with after the final cleaning to dry out the board for the close inspection . If anything looks off check its continuity. Dont forget to inspect connectors and clean them well. Put it back together making sure you get the long screws in the right holes Water is a fickle thing and can get anywhere so clean it all and inspect it all dont expect to see the same thing each time . Its never that easy. Good luck with the project and let us know how it works out

Do you know how I could fix the problem with pads? I found someone else with the same problem on GSM-forum but there was no solution.

If your referring to the touch pad issues with the iPhone 6 where i work our hands are in oil a lot and it ends up on the screens and if you dont thoroughly clean the screen you get this problem Ive used glass cleaner and ip alcohol and it didnt work what i found that has worked is the hand cleaners we use in the shop this ones the one we use https://www.uline.ca/Product/Detail/S-72...

If this isnt what your referring to then sorry not sure

I meant there is a issue with PADS the program that I use for opening pcb files and for board view.

@gigabit87898 probably not an issue with PADS but the schematic. The iPhone 6s Plus pcb view floating around on some of the GSM forums is not correct

The flux had a buffer overflow error and crashed. Using safe mode with solder paste :)
