How do I replace my screen on my MacBook Pro?

My laptop took a tumble off my bed a while ago, and somehow the charging cord damaged the bottom left corner of the screen, which in turn caused a black bar to appear over a couple of inches of my screen. Currently the screen is still working, but it is difficult to use really any program that requires me to see that strip of screen, or to access my preferences, to save/open/etc. anything through the menu options in the upper left part of the screen.

I was wondering if it is possible to replace the screen myself? Or should I just bite the bullet and start calling around to repair shops?

Thanks

Screens aren't really available for this model yet, or they are extremely expensive. Might be best to call Apple or wait till later this year.

As its still under warranty see if you can sneak it in. A replacement display will be expensive when they do show up.

You could possibly get it in under the"Flat Rate Repair" program offered by Apple. $357 with Tax and shipping.

Replacing the display on this model is VERY challenging and expensive, Apple Store bet bet.
