Display Assembly Replacement Repairability

I was wondering how difficult is was to remove and re-insatll a new Display Assembly on the new MacBook Pro Touch bar. I noticed hinges in the middle of the screen. Do you have to do anything with the Touch Bar in order to remove the Display>

Right now we don't have any guides prepped as the system is just to new and parts are just not available yet.

Depending on what happened it might be covered under warranty. Can you tell us a bit more here?

Just trying to be prepared. We fix apple computers on a daily basis. I have had a couple calls about folks dropping thier Touch bar macs and smashing the LCD which obviously the entire assembly needs to be replaced. Watching the Teardown video i did not see the Display was removed. Was just seeing if iFixit ever removed the display before and if so, did they have to disassemble the touch bar at all to get to the hinges holding the Display to the Top Case.

More likely they yanked the USB-C power cord pulling the system to the floor ;-}

A friend of mine who works for Apple told me he has already seen 4 systems messed up because there's no MagSafe anymore. They're becoming expensive paperweights.

VERY challenging and parts are not affordable, I think I counted 30 screws for the display touch bar area, total nightmare
