Sound stops with bass and other input sound

My radio is installed and I did all the wiring and I believe it's correct. However when I try and play music through my phone it cuts out after about 5 seconds and won't play anymore. Any ideas? Thank you!

Are you sure the cable is fine, and the headphone jack on your phone is ok? If the phone thinks you've unplugged the cord, it puases the music.

How are you connecting to the receiver with the phone, cable or BT?

What type of phone is it, iPhone (what iOS version) or Android (what OS version)?

Have you tried playing music from a USB flashdrive connected to the USB port, just to see if it works OK?

Hi, it's an iPhone SE. Running the newest 10.3 software. It did it with the earlier software too. It does the same thing through Bluetooth, Apple carplay, regular apple core (no apple play but still through cord) and through an aux cord. It does it with other phones and devices too so I don't believe it's on the phone side.
