Usually this happens right after the phone is dropped. If it is then you will need to get the screen replaced.

*Hello, if you have an Android device, and if you enabled Developer Mode and selected an option that gives you a visual screen update flash, this is why. Please turn off the "Show Screen Updates" and/or "Show GPU view updates" and/or "**Show hardware Layers updates"

*Please note, these instructions only apply to Android Devices, if you do not have an Android device, or if your phone has visible damage, the screen's pixels may be disfunctional.

  • *According to the developer options screen, the Show Hardware Layers Updates makes hardware layers green when they update, and this may be causing your issue.

If you continue to have people give their opinions on fixing your phone it would help tremendously if you can understand what that person is saying, I can't understand what the &&^& these @%^$$@$# are saying, get a person that doesn't sound like they just learned English as a 4th grade refugee!

Hi Mackenzie,

That sort of behavior is almost always a result of a damaged or defective LCD screen. To fix the problem you'll have to replace it. iFixit has a guide showing you step by step how to replace the screen and can even sell you the part you need if you want!
