Trackpad & Keyboard stopped working 2 days after display replacement

I changed my display after it cracked and I initially started noticing the keyboard getting glitchy 3 days after fixing my macbook. All of a sudden the trackpad stopped working. I started working again once, and then it stopped working. I did a couple restarts, yet it is still not working. They were working fine right after display fix.

Could a connection have gotten loose after a couple days? I'm pretty sure I tightened every screw.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Unless it is liquid damaged, the cable going from the trackpad to the logic board is probably loose trackpad side (the curvy one). The keyboard plugs into the trackpad, so this would explain why both would stop working or have issues.

I reset the PRAM and it worked. Thank you!

Still facing issues. The keyboard is working now but trackpad is not working. I've opened and made sure the cable was snug several times but still trackpad is not working at all.

You would need to try a test trackpad at this point. It may work out cheaper to take it to a repair shop who has the testing parts already (so you don't have to buy parts which may not resolve the issue)
