Hard Drive making any unusual noise? If you have replaced the Hard Drive Cable then theres a chance that its the Hard Drive. Or worse case being the Logic Board.

No usual noise when powering on. Tried different hard drive, still doesn't read. Original cable reads hard drive every couple days for about 2 hour.

I have found that a faulty cable will mess up the hard drive about 50% of the time. Hook the drive up to an external SATA to USB adapter and see if you can recover it using Disk Utility.

Probably a faulty cable if you have tried with a known working hard drive. Check for liquid damage around the hard drive cable connector and burnt inductors in this area. Check bottom of board for liquid damage if you try it with a definitely working cable and drive. There is a chip to the right of the RAM slot on the bottom of the board which is responsible for dealing with the SATA signals.

The chances of this being anything other than the cable or the drive are 0.0000001% on this board, it's not like the newer Retina boards where this is likely to be a board issue. I personally think your original cable is working intermittently, and the new cable is completely bad.
