Bottom microphone and home button won't work again

My iPhone 5c got a violent shock that broke the screen.

I replaced the screen which brought it back to life but the home button wasn't working anymore.

Meanwhile the lighting connector stopped working after cleaning the connector with a metal piece...

So I replaced the lighting connector assembly and I could recharge it again.

Home button still not working.

Noticed that the bottom microphone wasn't working to, had to put the calls on speaker in order to be hearable (makes the phone use the second microphone I guess).

Speakers work well.

So I decided to try a home button ribbon cable replacement but the home button did still not respond.

Tried the home button spring contact cable trick with a screwdriver which didn't react so I realized the spring contact wasn't working and replaced the lighting connector again which includes the microphone.

After replacing it for the second time both the microphone and the home button or home button spring contact do still not work !

So where would the problem be ?

I mean, it's a bit peculiar, I honestly gotta wonder where you're getting your parts from. Cause if it's not the Lightning dock. Then it would be major chip damage issues on the logic board, and I've honestly never seen anything like that happening

Yeah I've had a bad batch of 5C charging port assemblies before. I've noticed that I've had to increase the pressure on the home button contacts sometimes on screen or charging port side to ensure it contacts properly.

Most of the time it's just a bad charging port.

Also OP: For future reference the 5 charging port pins are at the bottom of the charging port so try cleaning only above it and not touching it, these pins only push down and if you put pressure from the left and right sides of the pins it will misalign them causing charging issues.

Also if they get pushed down too hard the contact will go bad, and if it still works it may require you to pull the lightning cable up to get it to charge.

Lightning connector is working well, on the 2 assemblies I replaced. Everything works except for that microphone and the home button. Chip damage is not to exclude considering the shock the phone underwent, the screen was completely exploded and found 1m from the rest of the phone.

That's great. I'm recommending, you can anything you want, that you check with a known good part first, then move into the more difficult probabilities
