Chiming but not powering up after Display Assembly replacement

HELP...Ive replace my display assembly on an 09' 15" Macbook Pro after the hinges broke on the original display and it developed vertical lines but no images. I would use an external monitor when I needed to use the machine. Once I had everything put back together, I press the power button...it chimes once but wont power up.

if it chimes then its working somewhat. Put the old screen back or just remove the screen entirely and test it then. if it doesnt work then do you hear any beep codes?

Problem solved. The LDVS was fine...thanks for the email @mayer. However, when I initially reassembled everything I added the small black velcro pad from the old assembly on top of the one that came with the new assembly causing to much pressure to be put on the LDVS connection which would make the machine think it was a fault/short.
