Hello, thanks to those who can help me. My mothers iPad has a cracked screen, is stuck in a boot loop, and I need to get the pictures off of it. From what I remember the screen still works and is usable, it just has meaningful pictures on it. Is there anyway to get them off/

My personal recommendation is to take it to an Apple Store to see if they can fix it. Since no iDevice ever has had an SD card slot, you cannot remove the storage. You would have to do a factory reset through iTunes to get it to work. Unless, the device is connected to iCloud, in which case you can view all of the photos on www.icloud.com. Also, the device should automatically back itself up. Hope that helps! Also, sorry about your shift key!

My nearest apple store is pretty far away... I connected to the icloud site but it says I need iOS 8 or higher to use it. If I download it, will it still have her older items [if she backed them up anyway]

It will, but you need to get into iOS to update without a reset. Like I said, an Apple Store is your best option. Sorry I couldn't help.
