Adapter, battery lights up proper but wont power on at full charge?

MacBook Pro 13" 09 Mid all white

I charged my mac the other after buying a 60watt magsafe adapter. It went from green( unplugged to mac) orange when magsafe was plugged in. The battery LED lights lit one at a time until full. But mac wont turn on?

Options

Disconnect the mag-safe. Press and hold the power button for five seconds, then give it a try.
