Why does my iBook loose power 10 minutes into a session?
My ibook G4 will loose power about ten minutes into a battery powered session. The battery is new and fully charged.

I often bought new batteries for iBooks G4 from China and many of them were DOA. You should check with a known working one.

Your battery is probably shorting out. Download and run Coconut battery and see if we can spot where the problem is and let us know your results. My first thought is the battery connector and possible corrosion. Has it gotten wet? http://www.coconut-flavour.com/coconutba...
