Just a quick question to make sure. The replacement screen was 3G for sure, right? I have a little concern that you may have a 3Gs screen. I may be way off here but let me us know....Thanks and good luck

I think oldturkey is on the money...sounds like the wrong screen. count the pins on each part of the connection or check your order. have had this happen before!

the parts are identical to look at, but the connection is completely different and will not fit

Chosen Solution

Look on the #2 ribbon cable, if the number is 821-0766-A, this is a 3GS screen.

The 3G screen will have 821-0621-A for the part number.

It's very bad as there are lots of tutorials out there on line that say that screens are compatible. Vendors do that too. Sucks!
