Will not run. Have new plug, new gas. With engine starting fluid, wi

Put in new plug, new gas w/stabilizer. With starter fluid, will fire and run until that fluid is gone. For some reason, gas does not seem to be getting to motor. Unit has only been used a few times, but owner did not keep manual/receipt.

j3rrymu3ll3r sounds like a gummed up carburetor. I'd check the float, needle valve and the jets to make sure that they are clean. This video should help you with that task. If you can tell us the make and model of that engine or the carb number we can probably find more information on that as well.

May also want to go into the tank and check that the inlet is not plugged and that the fuel lines are not kinked or damaged . it definitely sounds like a lack of fuel
