Clavinova cpl120 One octave have to strike keys very hard to play

I was given a Clavinova piano, the demo plays great, but one octave (from D/Middle C down) is very difficult to make the keys strike. It almost sounds like the keys are disconnected - the press is different than the keys that play normal. I live in the panhandle of Florida and am having trouble finding anyone that works on these. Would love to be able to play again. Any ideas??

@cmbirger is it a CPL120 or a CLP120?

We removed three screws to undo the main "top" and expose the inside - and what to our wondering eyes did appear but five sheets of paper, that had slid under the octave in question!!! Removed them and everything works perfectly!! We never had to worry about removing a key!

Thank you for the assistance!!!

@cmbirger that is excellent. Glad it all worked out for you. Hope you'll enjoy your music.

@cmbirger could be a few things but I'd start with the keyboard and that particular key. I'd suspect a spring error

Is this terribly hard to do?? My husband is a contractor but we build houses haha I think we can manage

I will show him and we can see what we can do. I haven't found a repair shop in the panhandle that will return my call yet.

Thank you so much for the suggestion

@cmbirger I don't think it is terribly difficult to do. Not as difficult as building houses for sure. I'll attach the service manual to the original answer that should help ya'll out.
