How can I close "Preview" when looking at files on a thumb drive?
Trying to eject a thumb drive but a a pop up says, cant eject drive because PREVIEW is open.

Command + Tab and select Preview.
Command + Q is the universal keyboard shortcut for quit.

You should also see 'Preview' as an active app in your dock tray, You can do a double touch click on it to gain access to the sub menu to close it.

Command + Escape will bring up the Force Quit box. Do that then quits ant app in the list by clicking on it.
