Why is my iPad 4 having ghost touches after replacing digitizer?

I recently replaced my digitizer after suffering a fall and damaging the screen. After changing the digitizer over, I turn on the device and can play on it for about 5 minutes until it begins to register random touches. Sometimes I noticed that it would happen more often if used on a certain angle. If I am using the keyboard, sometimes it will exaggerate on what I press by pressing that key letter plenty of times.

I read that using kapton tape around the digitizers frame could work, so I tried this only to find ghost touch still occuring.

Please help.

Thankyou

Chosen Solution

Could be faulty digitizer maybe or damaged digitizer ribbon cable from improper installation e.g crushing the digitizer cable by not tucking it in properly when closing up the iPad (putting the glass on)?
