Keyboard not working! Some keys to odd letters

My keyboard is not working after clean installation to OS X El Capitan (Macbook Pro late 2012), doesn't type most keys, and the very few that work don't output the correct letters (function).

Keyboard viewer shows correct keys, when typing.

Tried to install El Capitan, and same problem.

Reset SMC, same problem.

External keyboard works, but native keyboard won't.

Does anybody knows how to solve this?

Please double check the system info here. There is no Late 2012 13" model.

The problem started without warning... just a normal update, it was working fine with El Capitan before this.

Didn't spill anything on the computer.

Stopped working after update shutdown, one hour later when I turn it on again, it was with this problem.

Update shutdown? Thats probably why. Like i said just upgrade to sierra as its newer and has more features then el cap. Upgrade to it and it should help to resolve your issues. Its probably the update that screwed with it

From the sounds of it you either have spilled some liquid into the keyboard messing it up or the battery has swelled up causing pressure from below to mess up the keyboard.

Can you give us some more background here on what happened.

Try going to sierra or back to yosemite. Sierra is newest and easiest to upgrade to. Has this problem occurred before installing el cap?
