I am getting a white screen on power on. It never makes it to boot.

When powering up my Toshiba Satellite S70-A I get a white screen that first has colored lines vertically through it and then goes to solid white. What can I do to repair the computer?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi,

Can you get into the BIOS menu area OK, (press F2 on startup) and see if the screen is OK?

If it is, try starting in safe mode to see if it boots all the way to the Windows desktop OK?

Try connecting an external monitor and check its' display.

What OS is installed in the laptop.
