Rapid battery drain (8 hours), flash not working, has been dropped

Hello,

Phone was dropped and backlight shorted. Was professionally replaced and now the battery drains after 8 hours with no use.

I've had the U2 chip replaced, have tried 3 different batteries and replaced the lightening port. Hasn't fixed it.

I noticed that the flash isn't working. My next step is to replace the upper component cable.

Any other ideas?

The fact that the battery is being drained after 8 hours without use indicates a parasitic draw. Replacing the battery likely will do nothing. Something is completing the circuit back to the battery, indicating a short somewhere. A short may also be preventing the flash function from working.

Below is a teardown guide for the phone. I would inspect all components to see if there is anything visibly wrong with the boards and components.
