Can you find or borrow an external DVD drive to boot from? If you succeed you can run diagnostics from the external drive. Ralph

Hello!

Good job in replacing the RAM to troubleshoot! That would have been my first suggestion.

It is possible that the sleep sensor was damaged in the fall. It is attached to the battery connector. Try replacing the battery connector/sleep sensor first (make sure to get the correct version for your machine, explained here).

If this does not fix the problem, it may be the logic board.

Good luck!

Try using only one RAM slot at at time - you might have a damaged slot or RAM.

Good Luck,

You tried booting with one RAM chip/slot at a time right?

On Install disk there is Disk Utilities which can do a rough check of HD.

Command-D Boot with that DVD in optical drive - should launch Apple Diagnostics.

Good Luck,

N.

A screen "flash" is an indicator for BAD RAM. Have you tried other RAM?
