Touchscreen Periodically Not Working

I have an iPhone 6 that I got brand new almost two years ago (July 2015ish) and for the past couple months I've been having touchscreen issues where the phone would either become unresponsive or erraticly tap on random things. Usually, when the screen derped I'd try a couple of "putting it to sleep then unlocking it" sequences and the phone would work fine. As of the last two days, the problems have gotten worse, almost the point where the it becomes unusable. I've tried restarting the phone, clearing the RAM, charging it, etc. but the problem persists. I feel like this is probably a hardware issue and not a software one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you see any bars at the top of the screen? Do you put it into your back pocket? If you do, then it probably has "touch disease". This happens when the phone flexes; it creates a bad joint under the touch chip(s) on the motherboard. These chips either need to be reballed or replaced. If you don't have those lines, try a different screen. It might just be a old screen.

Is reballing a complicated process? Sounds like it. :)

Yes Laukur it is hard to do when not having right equipment and skill.

There is other ways to get it working by making it get some puch on the ic, as tape folded a bit etc. but reballing or replacing is more recommended.

I don't believe it is still under warranty. Apple Limited Warranty lasts about a year I think.
