iPad Air Home button wobbly and sticking down after screen replacemen

Purchased and installed the following:

—> iPad Air Front Glass/Digitizer Touch Panel Full Assembly / Fix Kit / Black

Everything seemed to work before putting it all back together. Now that it is back together, the home button seems wobbly / loose compared to the last one, and will stick in the down position, bringing Siri up. Wiggling it will fix it, but there has to be a solution.

Just did a replacement on an iPad mini, and it does not have this issue.

Any help or suggest would be awesome.

Unfortunately, you will have to remove the digitizer again to see what is wrong with the button. It may be improperly secured at the factory and may be covered under warranty (help.ifixit.com).

You need to ensure that the spacer is properly centered over the home button hole and that the rubber gasket that goes around the home button is properly installed. I have also found that using Tessa black double sided tape to secure the home button metal retainer helps. Also make sure you have taken the two cushions off the old metal retainer and transfered them to the new digitizer.
