What is the unused connector on the logic board labeled "J6000" for?

Every time I open my 2006 Core2Duo MBP to do work on it, I notice an unused connector on the logic board labeled J6000. This is the only unused connector I can find on the board and I was wondering if anyone knew what it was for? It is located right between the upper left corner of the optical drive bay and the bottom right corner of the RAM tray.

I asked my Apple rep about this a couple of years ago and he told me it was used for diagnostics. There is no information on the web about it. Personally I believe it is a ROM slot.

I would too. I just don't want to risk my logic board screwing around.
