Sanyo DP46480 powers off when operating HDMI device

Hi. I am looking to solve a problem with my Sanyo DP46840 television, one I thought I had solved but am hoping to pick the brains of those with expertise to see if anyone has noted this problem before. My Sanyo DP46840 TV kept powering off, and it eventually stopped turning on. Search results indicated it was the power board, so I obtained a replacement board (it was used from a TV with a damaged screen), and things worked fine for a couple of weeks. The problem then came back, possibly because all power boards eventually fail; however, it seems to be associated with the HDMI ports/Sony BluRay player. After unplugging the TV for a few minutes and plugging it back in, it powered on without a problem, and having switched to TV antenna only, the powering off problem is not occurring. Operating BluRay player using composite connections has not yet triggered the "power off" problem. Have you noted this before, and if so, what is my solution? Is this a with the main board requiring the repair kit (Sanyo N7EK Main Board Component Repair Kit for P46840-00) for installation by a certified tech or replacing the EEPROM chip? Thanks for the advice.
