How do I turn on/off cellular data for Chrome?

Hi,

I just got a Blu Advance 5.0. Switching over from iPhone. So, I'm just curious how I would turn on/off cellular for certain apps? Like, on iPhone, I would just go into settings-cellular-then just tap the button next to Safari, Photos, Facebook, whatever app, to let it use/not use my cell data. How do I do this on an android? Specifically Google Chrome. I don't like to use my data unless it's important, and I'd just rather have it turned off instead of leaving it on. Thanks for any help

Hi,

Go to Home > Settings > WiFi & Networks > Data Usage.

Scroll down to view the Apps using data. Tap to enter on the ones you want to restrict. Scroll down and enable Restrict Background Data.

Also not sure with Blu phones, but a lot of Android phones have a Data Connection enable/disable setting found in Home > Settings > WiFi & Networks >more >Mobile Networks > Data Connection which disables data entirely. This setting can sometimes also be accessed by dragging down the notification bar on the Home screen and tapping the Quick Settings icon to view shortcut links to various options. Be aware that disabling this particular setting also prevents MMS messages from being sent/received. SMS are OK though
