No WiFi or Bluetooth

I am working on a MacBook Pro 15" Retina early 2013. There is no Wifi or Bluetooth.

  • The Wifi icon says "No Hardware Installed"
  • The Bluetooth Icon says "Not Available"

Troubleshooting already tried:

  • Tried new screen with new antenna cables
  • Tried a new airport card
  • Tried battery pull
  • I also have tried PRAM and SMC resets

I'm trying not to have to reinstall software and back up old software.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what else I can try?

Thank you for your time

Was there any signs of liquid damage?

actually just got it fixed, it was the flex cable that connects that board to the main logic board, unplugged it and plugged it back in.

Before you alter the systems drive how about creating a clean bootable USB thumb drive with the same or newer OS. Follow this guide: How to create a bootable macOS Sierra installer drive.

Once you boot up exit the installer and then see if WiFi works going into the preferences setting. Is that working? If not you have a problem within the logic board power services powering the Airport board. If the external drive works then you have a messed up OS install.
