Why isnt it turning on
I tried pressing the home button and the power button amd it turned on then shut back down can someone please help

You don't give us much context as to why you are doing a hard reset on your device. More background info would be helpful.
I will assume that the battery is not sufficiently charged, hence causing your problem.
Try the following:
- Use a genuine Apple Lightning Cable and charging brick (or a USB port on your computer)
- Fully charge your device, overnight of necessary
- Try again to see if the iPod will boot up.
- You may want to try with different cables, bricks or computers just to eliminate as many variables as possible
If it doesn't boot up, you may have a defective battery or charge circuit on your logic board. Get back to us with more details so we can help you better.
