iPhone 6S home button and touch ID not working after screen replacemen

Hi, I've been repairing phones for a while. I repaired an iPhone 6S screen and attached the original home button to the new screen. However the first time I plugged it all in the home button worked but not the touch ID. I then unplugged everything to get the touch ID working, re- plugged the home button cables and now neither the home button nor the touch ID is working. Ive plugged everything in multiple times since. No difference. Any ideas? Also- the home button does seem to press down quite far however the screws are in as tight as they will possibly go and I'm not sure that that would affect anything? Any ideas? Thanks! :)

Answer this question I have this problem too

I would try a new screen for starters. sometimes the ribbon cable behind the plate is bad in the aftermarket screens

I would recommend trying a different screen on the device, it might be a bad home button cable on the screen.

If it doesn't work on a different screen then check the button flex for any damage, if it is damaged then you will need to replace the button but you will lose Touch ID permanently
