Why is my replacement keyboard not working?

I just installed a replacement keyboard with backlight into my MacBook Pro "15 and none of it is working including the power button.

The logic board connections are seated properly and everything is in the right place. I can use a USB keyboard and do everything just fine.

I can't reset the SMC because the keyboard doesn't work and my mouse keys are not on. Everything works fine except for the keyboard, backlight and power button.

What can I do?

Did you test the keyboard before screwing it in? If you didn't, it will probably be a bad keyboard. If you did test it, and after installing it isn't working, recheck the connections and the cable, since you likely damaged something.
