mine won't stay on past lifting the lid halfway - just shuts off.

1. toggle side switch

2. begin raising lid

3. device starts and game is accessible and playable until lid reaches halfway point

4. at halfway point (approx 90 degree angle to base), devices shuts off

Using toggle side switch produces a quick flash in the lower screen.

@thepogan , Kayla , It could be a bad connection on one of the display's ribbon cables or a bad cable (probably the upper cable connection or cable damaged). Below are links to guides that show how to partially disassemble the DS so you can check the cables for damage and reseat them to make good connection if not damaged. Good luck.
