iPhone 6 goes into boot mode

I purchased an iPhone 6 that had some water damage. The phone itself would continue to go through the boot loop and never actually restart.

The only way I could fix this is by unplugging the battery, plugging it into another device and charge for 30 seconds or so, then plug it back in and it goes through the loop and acts normally.

After that, the phone stayed on once until the battery died. Most of the time it goes back into boot loop once it goes into sleep mode and it always went into the loop upon restart.

I tried unplugging cameras, home button, and even replacing the wifi connector.

Any ideas?

Did you clean the board with isopropyl alcohol yet?

I did. The only thing that did was make the phone always be searching for a network.

Matt, just fully charge your battery in the other phone and then retry. If it works well until it's depleted then won't charge, as Ben say, its a U2 problem. If the battery doesn't take a full charge, then replace the battery and do the same test again.

What do you mean boot mode? Apple logo on the homescreen?

If it is, that means your iPhone is disabled, you can restore your iPhone with 3uTools.

The phone comes on and stays on after I put the battery in it after I have it plugged into another phone. The phone shuts off when the screen goes completely black, then tries to restart. It gets to the very first Apple screen for about 5 seconds, shuts off completely, then tries again. Same thing over and over.

Could you please connect your iPhone to the PC, and launch iTunes or alternative tools to check what mode your iphone is in?
