MacBook Pro 15" 2015: Poweron-Pads Location

Hi,

I need the Location of the Poweron-Pads of my MacBook for an external Poweron Solition.

Patrick Ck post some pictures of your logicboard with your question. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that. It will allow us to possibly point it out to you. It may not necessarily have power on pads but can be powered on through the keyboard connector.

Chosen Solution

You have to short pin 5 (from the left) of the keyboard connector to ground momentarily. There are no pads on the Retina 15 2015

I already knew this, but this way I can't power it on when the Lid is closed.

When the MacBook is working normally, you cannot power it on with the lid closed, since you cannot press the power button. Solution: open the lid when turning on, or replace the keyboard, if this powers on fine when shorting the pin :)

As mich as i know you can power it on when lit it closed whit the Poweron-Pads. Since my Model has no Poweron-Pads i have to Power it on and close the Lid after. :(
