Is it possible to fix a popped out screen swivel hinge?

One end of the swivel arm holding the screen on a Panasonic portable DVD player has partially popped out. I tried to push it back in, but it does not bulge. Does anyone know whether there is a way to fix it? My kid would be very happy if we can fix it. Thank you.

Thanks a lot, Jayeff! The link to the manual was very helpful. I was able to take the sleeve off the joint, and fix it. I truly appreciate your help!

Hi @happyvalley ,

You're welcome.

Glad that you got it fixed OK.

Hopefully you are now even higher in your child's estimation. ;-)

Hi,

To me the first picture indicates that it is broken and has not just come out of its' slot.

Here is a link to the service manual for the player.

I think that the broken part is actually a fixed part of the monitor cover See part #20 that the monitor support arm (part #12) locks onto. Here is an image highlighting what I think is the piece that is broken

Searching for the monitor cover assembly (part # RFKKPDLS91AS found on p.72 -item 20 as per the drawing) gives results but none have any pictures to verify what I think.

Perhaps you may have better luck in finding out.
