If you mean iPod Touch 2g, download this:

Open iTunes
In windows you need to hold down SHIFT on the keyboard when you click restore, and select the appropriate file you just downloaded.
In mac you need to hold down Option on the keyboard when you click restore, and select the appropriate file you just downloaded.
There are later versions of firmware, but Apple charges $20 per version. If you paid for it way back when, it will give you the option to update later.
