Logic board has dicloleration (reddish) on the underside of the Intel chip

Here's what I'm talking about 2417 I-7 core to duo

Charger connects light on and no start up, no power, only blinking battery indicator lights......

Is this a overheated logic board????

@talmadge , Talmadge Dowse, Smell the chip/board, if it smell burnt/weird it is probably bad.

No burned smell, someone didn't exactly know how to take apart the battery connector was half ripped up and the track pad was not in level etc....It was part of a donation from a friend that owned a hauling clean up service

@talmadge as @lpfaff1 is suggesting, it sounds like someone has reflowed the chip, so it was likely experiencing the common GPU issues on the 15" 2011 models.

Just replace it with a 2012 board to be honest, no point wasting any time trying to fix this one.

That sounds like a battery needs replaced or the volt regulator or capacitor or some sort of electronic part needs replaced.

Im appreciative, these Logic Boards are prone to video chip problems as well, So I might just upgrade to a 2012 model Logic Board since its the same btw
