I hv iP5c. And my problem is similar to this problem. Whenever i open mobile data or wifi even stanby mode, my phone will getting hot over the motherboard area. At the beginning I thought it was my battery problem because the battery is quite draining too. So how bow that?

It will be very difficult to help you unless you give us more information. The PMIC can be overheating because one of the voltage rails it drives is drawing excessive current caused by a shorted or partially shorted subsystem/component or it could be because the actual IC is internally shorted.

Give us more information on how the phone is behaving and its history (impact, water damage etc) and we can offer a more detailed response.
