My son's Kindle Fire 10 inch, the charging port is not charging when you take a close look at it the tab is cracked so its not taking a charge. Where can I take it to be replaced? My wife and I have been to 3 different places and they stated they only work on ipads.

@jbessette , Justin, That is strange that the shops you visited only worked on iPads, they must have had their hands full. Maybe go on line and see cell phone/computer repair shops listed and contact. Or if you would like to give the fix a try read below.
If port is found to be bad, this is really not a repair for the inexperienced usually, because the charge port for your Kindle is soldered to the mother board and the heat generated could cause further damage if not very careful. I will post a link to a tear down guide to get you inside the tablet to check the charge port and will also post a link showing what is involved in repairing a mini USB attached to the board. The last link is to new charge port, which you can also do a search for better pricing perhaps if needed.The whole Logic Board assy. can be had for $54.00 or less by searching if estimates to high by shops and then maybe worth you doing repair. If not wanting to do the repair yourself have a good computer/cell phone repair shop have a look and estimate repair. Good luck.

the most reputable place im aware of to take it, is CPR Cell Phone Repair. It is a franchise with over 200 stores open in north America, and repairs come with a life time warranty on quality.
If you are interested in repairing it yourself, it really is not a too difficult repair.

I'm not sure where you are located, but Ubreakifix is a franchise with locations across the country. I had this same issue and they were able to fix it.

How much did the repair cost?
I went there and they said they couldn't do it because it needed soldering
I tried ubreakifix in 2021 and they will not work on amazon fire tablets , they told me its cheaper to replace the tablet .
@Irene Hernandez And is another reason why E-waste is getting out of hand. If you're willing to pay then why not just accept the job?
I too tried Ubreakifix 30, Oct 2021 - Said it needed soldering and that it would cost $150 labor just for soldering! Planned obsolescence has come a long way - now it’s Enhanced Costly Repair/Replace obsolescence! I get it! Why do we put up with this crap???
