iFixit Screen repair doesn't seem to work

I did a replacement of my battery and screen.

The battery worked fine, but the screen just won't work.

I found the connectors to be much harder to put in than the connectors on the original screen and the ribbons connecting the connectors to the screen seem to be the wrong shape.

As you can see in the attached photo,

the ribbon for one of the connectors covers one of the screw holes.

Surely this can't be right.

Any thoughts anyone?

Update (03/11/2017)

Sorry, took me some time to find the time to go through the process.

Here is attaching the first connector. Everything is fine

Here is before attaching the second connector. Note that it naturally is in line with the third horizontal connector location.

Here is after attaching the second connector. It doesn't come through properly, but this requires the connector cable to be slightly bent.

For comparison, here is the original second connector. It naturally is in line with the second horizontal connector location and doesn't require the cable to bend

The vertical connector fits fine.

And then the original image shows what happens with the final connector

Can you take photos with each cable unplugged? And one more plugged in each time? Because I've never seen this issue before.

Just checking what would help - do you want 4 photos with the original cables attached and then taking them out one by one and then the same with the new cables?

Just the replacement screen cables.

Updated the question above. I had to wait until the weekend to get some time to be able to try the replacement screen again.

It seems you are having issues with the home button extension cable and front camera connector.

The home button extension cable should sit above the LCD sibbon cable on the screen.

Then the front camera ribbon as the last ribbon connector on top.

This suggests that the cables have been incorrectly made and that I should be seeking a refund. Does that sound consistent with your view?
